“Another Comparison Between ‘Super Heroes’ And Christ-ians” Or “The Supersuit Or THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD” Or “Did You Know The Authours Of Superman Were Jews….Hmmmm”

“His eyes were as a flame of fire…and [H]is [N]ame is called The Word of God.”

One sees Superheroes where ever one turns. These fictional characters are on clothing, jewely, utensils, cups, and glasses. These characters adorn hats, caps, and jackets.  Superheroes have a store’s aisle all to themselves. The bakery will put small likenessess atop of birthday cakes. In October, children and adults will dress up in costumes and depict their favourite superhero. In December toysrepresenting the heroes will be gift wrapped and will be put in to stockings. The world has been over run with Super human heroes.

With the above being as it is, there must be supervillains as well. It should be a surprise, but unfortunately it is not, persons adorn themselves with attire representing the super evil. I understand that some find the superevil more interesting and I suppose I can understand that as I have had a long time interest of serial murder. Please know I do not see any good in them or find them interesting in a “cool” way. No, not at all.

These are wicked persons…no more and no less. With the above being written, there are others that love the superevil and this is a red flag.  You might say, “it’s only entertainment.”  For some it is only entertainment. For others it is a blue print, a map, a guide to fame.  Think back to Colorado and James Holmes, who killed many persons in the theatre. It was opening night to a Batman film and the killer arrived in full blown Joker regalia and loaded with firearms. The Joker was not entertainment to this person, but a role model.

Reader, there is true evil in this world and there is true good in this world. Theologically and Scripturally speaking, the true good is the Christ-ian faith. The true evil, though hidden under the guise of goodness is everyone else. I know that is a very strong statement and I do not like making it, no, not at all. Let us define our terms by asking questions and answering them.

Are persons, people, and peoples of the earth basically good?  No and Yes.
*Theologically speaking, “There is none that doeth good, no, not one  (Romans3)
*Theologically speaking, “There is none that doeth righteousness, no not one.”                                                                                                                                               (Romans 3)
*Theologically speaking, “There is none that understandeth [Good].  (Romans 3)
*Humanly speaking, Yes. There are good persons when compared to others. If one compared a kindergarten teacher to a dictator, the teacher is good. However, if the teacher is compared to God’s Son, the teacher is evil. Do you see the point?

Let us compare the superhero to the Christ-ian.
*The Christ-ian is real but the superhero is fictional
*The Christ-ian has power from God and with God and with man, the superhero and the superheroe’s power is fictional.
*The Christ-ian is the united force of good and for good. The superhero…see above.
*The Christ-ian has a mission. The superhero…see above
*The Christ-ian has super-human armour, the superhero…see above.

Reader, the Super-human Armour or the Whole Armour of God is real. It is made real through and by faith. The Armour is only as real as is the faith of the Christ-ian is real. In other words, Real Christ-ian faith – Real Armour of God….In the most Literal of Spiritual senses.  What are these pieces of Armour? Before listing them, let us point out that this armour is tailor made, so to speak.

This armour is made specifically and particularly for you.  It is made with all the measurements that are peculiar to you and no one else.  This Armour from God would fit no one else like it will fit you. This armour is not like any armour you have ever seen.  It is not bulky and does not hinder your movement. This armour allows you full range of motion.  The fiction Batman would wish he had a suit such as yours. This armour, fellow warrior, is not made with any material this world has ever seen or had.  Actually, I misspoke, the material was seen for a few fleeting hours but was not recongized to be anything special.

Fellow warrior, Our armour is made up of “nothing less than Jesus Blood and Righteousness!!!”  The Lord Jesus is our Armour!!! Paul tells us to, “Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ…” Yea!!!  Christ Jesus, it is He, that adorns us with Holy Armour.  Just as Jacob of old put the hair and the smell of Esau, his brother on in order to trick the blind Isaac, so to do we put on the Lord Jesus and trick the enemy.  After Pentocost (s)atan exclaimed, “I thought there be Only One Son of God, but now there be many…so very, very, many sons of God and brethren to God’s Son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Fellow warrior were are the good in this world, we are that which reflex the Light of the world, we are the preserving salt of this world.  Reader, we are the recipients of God’s mercy and the sinners are blessed with the overflow!!! Reader, we are a little Jesus in this world. I mean that with reverence and in literal terms.  It has been predestined that all Christ-ians become like Christ in every way possible, in sinlessness, in thought, in our love for God, physically, Spiritually, emotionally, mentally, in every way. This is our predestined end, Reader. God is not waiting until eternity to make us Christ-like, no, not at all.  God began your transformation to Christ-likeness when you were regenerated or when the Spirit of God in Christ entered your mind, body, emotions, instincts, strengthever since He entered…  YOU.

What are the pieces of our God given and God measured Armour then?
*Loins of Truth: The loins is the area where our reproductive organs reside. This tells us that the Truths of God should be fruitful and multiplied. We also learn that truth is important to life. Therefore, truth must be protected, honoured, and spoken often and loudly.
*Breastplate of Christ’s imputed Righteousness: Without this piece the others are not needed because without this piece there be no goodness. Without the imputed righteousness of Christ, there would be no justification, sanctification, glorification, there would be nothing but death. It is this piece that protects the heart.
*Feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace: The Life of Christ has given us the Example of how to do all things, Christ’s Sinless Life of Peace has prepared us to fight the GOod fight.
*Shield of Christ’s Faith: This is the piece of Armour that allows us to live in the world but not be of the world.  This shield of faith allows us to partake in the world but not be defiled by the world. It is this piece that preserves us from the enemy’s fiery dart, wicked machinations or trickeries. This Shield acts, somewhat on it’s own, this shield has life and defends your spiritual and physical life.  Paul says, “Above all taking the shield of faith…” Paul, methinks, views this piece of armour as the most important as it is needed NOW.  The Imputed Righteousness of Christ is the Greatest. It has already been applied and will never wear off.  The shield is a piece of armour that is needed currently and always. The shield is ours because of the breastplate.
*Helmet of Salvation: Helmet of Salvation or Hope.  Scripture tells us that hope is our salvation.  We are saved by hope in that we persevere because we expect God to keep His promises and we await Christ’s promised return.
*Sword of the Spirit: The Word of God or the (S)Word of God.  The shield defendes us and the sword allows us to go on the offensive. It is the sword that shows us to be warriors. It is the sword that shows we are ready. One must know well the Sword of the Spirit. One must know well the Spirit of the sword if you are to win your battles…your battles as the war, itself has already been won.
*Prayer in the Spirit: Very Important it is for the warrior or soldier to keep all lines open to the Captain of Salvation.  We must ever be in contact with God, either in words or thoughts or praises and worship.  “Whosoever calleth upon the [N]ame of the Lord shall be saved.”  is a passage not only for salvation but for preservation.

4give any mistakes, we had to shut down quickly this time.

Godspeed.
