“The Falling Away” Or “The Failing Of Fake Faith” Or “A Falling Away Does Not Necessitate An Empty Church”

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day [of Christ] shall not come, except there be a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition…”                                                                                                                               (2 THessalonians 2)

Reader, If we are not seeing this falling away, I dread to see it when it really occurs.  In Christendom today we see church leaders falling right and left over sins that should not be named.  Local churches are closing and that may not be a bad thing which is a bad thing in itself. The Sodomite agenda is about to gain a foothold in the church. Most families have a homosexual in the family and they would rather twist and wrest Scripture than to take the  side of God on such matters.

There are books, readers, that are very pro Sodomite and they seem to be getting a hearing. These are workers of iniquity more so for their, “Hath God said” than their sexual preference.  Many “Christ-ians” have itching ears and they long for someone to persuade them that homosexuality is okay today as it was a cultural thing at the time of the writing of both Testaments but it is not a sin in our time and culture.  The homosexual agenda is against Scripture, against logic, and against nature.  What if it was proven that sex was for procreation only, then what would they say? It is not, of course, but if it were they would have no arguements left.

I have recently visited a few different churches and I am sad to report I found unsoundness to say the least.  In one (1) church they spent the hour speaking about their small groups and the leaders of these small groups gave a sort of commercial. Christ’s Name or rather “Jesus'” Name was mentioned twice and ina comedic sense.  It was a disgusting show of ignorance.  The “pastor” of this theatre imitated another pastor in the way he dresses, spoke, wore his beard, and shaved his head.  The congregation may not be aware of the preacher he was emulating but I was and it was sad.

The other church I visited was unclear on his teaching at best and unsound at worst.  When it came time for the Lord’s Supper there was no prayer, there was no mention of the broken Body or the shedding of Blood .  The directions from 1 Corinthians was completely ignored…this is a falling away from Scriptural authority altogether. They simply passed out the cup with a cracker combination and everyone  ate and drank.  If that was not bad enough and if I was not already reeling from shock, a rather heavy set man dressed up as the Lord, wig and all, walked up to the front and did a kind of panto-miming. Reader, I kid you not.

When the Scriptures speak of the falling away, we should not assume that persons will leave the church. It could be that persons remain in the local church but fall away from sound doctrine.  the church is battling a many sided war. On one (1) side, the sodomite agenda, on the other unsound doctrine, on the other side a cultural battle on what is right and true, and the falling away within.

Rest assured, Reader, these things have been foretold.  They have been foretold so we would not be soon shaken and our hearts would not be troubled.  Let us take rest in the promises of our Lord and in the Person of our Lord, Who warned us of all these things and even more that is to come. For once the falling away is complete, that man of sin shall be revealed.

Reader, Take unto thyself the Whole Armour of God as the battle is barely begun.  Exciting time…exciting times.
