“My sheep hear [M]y [V]oice. (John 10)
I have an evangelist friend. I remember him asking in his messages, “What do you do with that?” He wd ask this question when he wd offer up examples of God doing something for someone and it didn’t make sense to the super-saints. For example, a super saint does EVERYTHING by the Book and there is another saint that misses a few dots over his i’s here and there yet God opened the windows of Heaven for him and the former felt like God was ignoring him. Then would come the question from the evangelist, “What do you do with that?”
This morning we will ask the same question in regards to the old catholic mystics (little c). Before your Baptist brain explodes let me define, catholic with a small c. The word catholic means universal as in Body of Christ as in the invisible church. The word Catholic with a capital refers to Rome. The Roman church has stolen much from us catholics. When a typical protestant hears the word catechism or mystic, he that hath an ear quits listening and shuts down. While i am hospitalized i ask those that come a cross my way about their faith it is relatively simple to discern who has met Christ and who has not. When a Protestant hears the two (2) words mentioned above, their shut down is nearly the same.
Let me say clearly, You and your children miss out on so much knowledge bc of your prejudice against the catechism (Spurgeon has a gr8 one (1) ). You also miss out on Heavens gr8 joys by being against mysticism, something ye understand not.
How is it that mystics, who had no Bible, were lied to by lying and deceived priests yet knew the Truth and the Spirit of Truth? “What do you do with that?” The Spirit of God led these mystics through discernment. Of course there were men like Hus, you wd face death if found with the Scriptures.
I define a mystic as one (1) who walks with the Spirit and the disciples walked the Christ when He was on this earth. What cd be wrong with that???
We will end here DV as my hands are far too shaky to continue, “Brethren, Pray for us.”
Godspeed.
