“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20)
“Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servant of men.” (1 Corinthians 7:23)
A man of God once asked me, “Son, Who owns you?” My answer was and is Lord Jesus. That is quite a question is it not? It is a searching question and a revealing question. It will also answer the question of your salvation. Does Christ Jesus own you as His blessed own or are you an “independent agent?” If you ” man up” and say, ” I am my own man and no one owns me.” If you really believe that and you also “kinda” trust the Bible you will be confounded to learn that the devil takes you captive at his will (2 Timothy 2:26).
Christ draws the line clearly. He said that you are either with Him ….completely in; no looking back and willing to forsake all or you are against Him.
Please understand there is no middle or neutral ground. One belongs to Christ and has blessed liberty or one is taken captive by the devil at his will.
What was the price of our salvation? The Blood of God’s Son; our Elder Brother paid the price for our sin, our iniquities, our trespasses, our crimes, our rebellion against righteousness.
If the question of who owns you is bothersome then the question has an answer to your salvation. You are lost.
